If Paul could have seen the modern Church, he would have written a letter that made Galatians look like a Sunday School picnic.
Shocking as it may sound, not a single one of the original apostles would recognize what commonly passes for the gospel and Christian living among Evangelicals today.
Strong words to be sure. But while there have been many promising movements over the centuries to recover what has been lost, and a number of wonderful developments in the last few decades that are now transforming lives, the Western Church on the whole has been in bondage to law for at least 1500 years.
We cannot go on this way. Human civilization is now racing toward disaster. Only a New Reformation of the Church will save us from the evil that is upon us – a Reformation as dramatic as a Copernican Revolution.
